1) We will start with the formal business at 2.30pm prompt
- Minutes of previous AGM
- Chair report (illustrated) will include any matter arising; questions and adoption of report
- Treasurer report; questions and adoption of report
- Nominating a new committee (minimum 6, maximum 15). The new committee will chose from its members a chair, vice chair, treasurer and secretary at its first meeting.
- Please consider joining our committee, some of us are standing down. Please e-mail me if you would like to become a committee member or would like to nominate someone. Nominations will also be taken verbally from the floor.

Dr Husam Zomlot, is the newly appointed Palestinian Ambassador to the UK, he was the PLO representative in the USA until recently when Trump decided to close the Palestinian diplomatic office in Washington last September
Jehan Helou, is the President of The International Board of Books for Young People (Palestine section)

Palestine Cultural Evenings: Friday 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd November 7 – 10pm

Fundraising film afternoon: Friday 13 April at 1pm.
`When I Saw You’ (2012) is the second film by Jordan-based Palestinian film-maker Annemarie Jacir. It has won numerous festival prizes all over the world.
The film is set in 1967, when thousands of Palestinian refugees fled to camps in Jordan. It tells the story of 11-year-old Tarek who, along with his mother, has been separated from his father in the general chaos. Tarek goes in search of his father and ends up joining a group of Arab guerrillas. His mother follows, and they eventually try to make their way home with a new-found sense of hope and freedom.

Our guest speaker will be Dr Marwan Darweish – Principal Lecturer in Peace Studies at Coventry University. More detailed programme at a later date.
We will be looking for new committee members. Please consider standing, it is not that onerous – we meet circa 5 times a year. Most importantly, we will need a new Treasurer as Cathie is standing down after seven years.
